• HSA Cleaners

New brand and storefront for a historic business

Established in 1957, HSA Cleaners is a student-run laundry, dry cleaning, and bottled water delivery service that caters to Harvard University and the Cambridge community. When the organization decided to move to a new location in the heart of Harvard Square, it turned to Analogue Studio for fresh thinking on its store design and brand identity. Given limited budget and timeline, Analogue Studio worked with HSA to program the new space for optimal workflow, and selected simple and warm finishes, such as plywood, to give the store a younger, more modern aesthetic. We also introduced more youthful copy to the organization’s marketing materials, including the tagline “Hot iron workers.” Not wanting to lose sight of HSA’s history entirely, Analogue Studio designed a new logo for HSA that includes a modern font structured in traditional seal motif.
